Off again? On again?! Hot again!

I'm a little skeptical of this on-again couple but there's no denying how hot they look together. I'm in love with Sienna's shoes! And her Emilio Pucci gown is stunning on her.

Degas... Beha...

Edgar Degas' Dancers in blue (circa 1890) and Freja Beha in Interview magazine.

I've never taken a ballet class but I've always had a fascination with them since I was little. And naturally this fascination and interest led me to Degas' paintings of ballerinas. He is one my favorite artists and I feel lucky that I've visited the Musée D'orsay to observe my favorite paintings of his (including the one above). So when I came across this editorial of Freja, I kind of freaked out, in a good way. Love, love, loves it.

Reptilian inspiration

A dreamer wants what a dreamer wants. Currently lusting after these accessories... long, sparkly, chunky necklaces; Prada studded mohawk shoes; ring that wraps around your fingers (Skova); and of course the Sam Edelman Zoe boots. I'm sighing right now.

I like big and messy buns and I cannot lie

Buns high or low, messy or clean all look great. But I prefer the high messy bun.

The old me is dead and gone. Well my old hair anyways.

Before:

After:

So I got my hair cut yesterday at Vain Salon in downtown Seattle. It had been over seven months since I did anything to my hair. My hairstylist Cassie told me she also cuts or trims her hair semi-annually, so I didn't feel too embarrassed about my initial hair consultation. Now that my hair is finally cut, I feel refreshed and I have a sense of an "anything can happen" attitude. The hair style from the past is now dead and gone, along with the bad memories that accompanied that hair. Hopefully happier times are to come with this new hair style of mine.

Vena Cava Fall 2010 RTW

Love these girls. My first internship was with them over three years ago! I believe this was their first runway show. I can't help but feel proud for Lisa and Sophie. Their collection for this season was classy (like always) but with an edge. I loved the shades and fur accents that appeared in the show. And you can never go wrong with bright lipstick to polish off the outfit.

Long live McQueen...

Another great loss in the fashion world. According to The Guardian (U.K.) , Alexander McQueen was found dead in his Mayfair home just nine days after the death of his mother. He was definitely an iconic designer (I remember his popular skull scarfs) and he will be sorely missed. Rest in peace.

Oh yes, another dream closet for a dreamer.

Lovely, lovely, and yes lovely. If only I had this much space to put my belongings in. If any of you have seen Lindsay Lohan's closet situation, mine is pretty similar. Maybe the new year means I should actually start organizing my closet for a change.

New year's resolution...

It's been a while but here are some of my recent purchases! The amazing thing about these items is that they're all thrifted! I can never have enough bags or shoes. They're irresistible. Well, the weather in Seattle is standard Seattle weather: rainy with a chance of more rain. And since I'm going to be stuck inside, I promise to blog religiously this year. New year's resolution: blog more, don't blog less.
