Sister George!

The Sister George scarf from Twenty8Twelve finally came in the mail yesterday! I'm in love :) This photo doesn't really do the scarf justice but I promise I'll post more pics that do show it off.
On a different note, I watched Finding Neverland on the tele today. I forgot how much I loved that movie. Mr. Depp is hott in that movie. Yup, hott with two t's! Haha! His Scottish accent seemed pretty decent compared to other American actors... The movie also reminded me of how much I want to live in England. If only...

Red eye...

I just booked my flight to NYC for next week. I'm on the red eye which means I'll arrive on Thursday at 7 a.m. Yeah and my interview is at noon the same day... Hope I won't look like a mess when I land! I'll be in the lovely New York until Saturday. Anyone know some good vintage shops and eateries while I'm there? I've been to Lupa, which I go every time I'm in the city. Gooood food! Anyways, who has some good internship stories? I would love to hear about them :)

Debut

I'm not kidding when I say I wear these shoes everyday! They're just so darn comfortable. I just received exciting news about a certain internship possibility in NY today :) Totally made my day. I need to book a flight to NYC a.s.a.p.! Anyway, I'm thinking about posting some pictures of the Vena Cava studio from my internship with them last winter. We'll see...

From London: It's Miller time

Tights are definitely a must have for these sisters. I especially love the first and third looks... only if their hair were up in a messy bun. Ahh... the effortlessness! And those shoes! Wouldn't mind getting me a pair of those :) All of this is really simple yet says Seattle all over them. Yay to grunge! The Miller sisters def. have style, but I was disappointed in not seeing a flirty "English" dress. Instead the line included shiny nye type dresses. Oh well, still looking forward to what the duo will come up with next.

Aww... I love getting things in the mail

These tribeca kenneth cole oxfords finally came in the mail! I love the feeling of coming home and seeing a box lying there, waiting for me to open it! These were the perfect size (thanks to the reviews on the site). I'm in love with them and can't wait to coordinate them with my outfits. Love, love, love 'em.

Ha! I guess I'm getting this after all...

Before I complained I couldn't get this scarf because it was sold out. But shopbop finally restocked this item and I finally purchased it! I can't wait for it to come in the mail. Waiting, waiting, waiting...

A few of my favorite things...

Some of these pictures are old, some of these pictures are new. These are just a few things I like right now. I really don't care what people say about Ms. Moss or Ms. Miller because since junior high and high school I've always admired these ladies (regardless their behavior). The picture of James Franco is one of my favorites. His funnyordie.com material is hilarious! Especially the ones with his little brother Dave Franco. The other black and white photo with the girl and the cigarette is just simply beautiful. The Sartorialist + Paris = perfection. And the other two are pieces from Vena Cava and from Philip Lim's Fall 2009 RTW. I miss Sophie, Lisa, and Chrissy from VC. Love those girls. They made my first internship experience a memorable one. Anyway, this post is really random but just felt like messing around photoshop and posting something!

Outstanding in every field

After wearing my old Banana Republic rain boots until they ripped, I finally had an excuse to buy these wonderful new Hunter wellies! I originally wanted a green pair but since my old black rain boots gave up on me, I decided to start with the basics. Black does go with everything. I bought these online and when they came in the mail, I was a little disappointed to see that white residue covered the boots. Online it says the residue comes from the extra coating of wax to protect the boots. And that they easily come off with a damp cloth. Wrong! I scrubbed for a good thirty minutes!

Well, with that said, I'm still happy I bought these boots. I love wearing them with dark skinny jeans or even leggings. They're not as heavy as I thought they would be. I just hope they last longer than my other boots.

I really wanted this but...

The Sister George scarf by twenty8twelve sold out on shopbop.com. It was on sale and I should've bought it on the spot! I thought it would've been a nice alternative to the keffiyeh. Anyways, I'm looking forward to other scarves this line will make.
Lately, I've been into adding scarves to whatever ensemble I wear. I especially love the "huge, wrap-around scarf, hair in a bun" look.

Chapitre Une

Hello all,

I've decided to create a blog to write down my thoughts, inspirations, and post stylish things/people. I'm a little late coming into the blogging scene however I will try my best to keep up with the others. Currently, I reside in the lovely city of Seattle. But I hope to move to NYC, London, or Paris to pursue a career in fashion. I am a dreamer at heart and believe anything is possible if you put your mind to it (sounds cliché, right?).
